CELEBRATING SPORTSMANSHIP IN ST. LOUIS.

Solomon Alexander is the director of the St. Louis Sports Foundation. He manages the organization’s programming, events, and grant-based funding.  

In 2010, Solomon was honored as a Sports Ethics Fellow by the Institute for International Sport, as a person who has “demonstrated admirable leadership in the areas of fair play and sportsmanship.” Through Solomon’s work, the Sports Commission was named as one of 20 American organizations contributing to the practice of fair play by the Institute for International Sport.

Prior to joining the Sports Commission in 2007, Solomon spent the first 10 years of his professional career as a teacher and coach with Lift For Life Academy and Gym in St. Louis, where he taught physical education, language arts and mathematics.  He also served as the senior weightlifting, track and field, and wrestling coach for the after-school program.
