Coach it Right! Clinics

Volunteer coaches serve as the backbone for much of our youth coaching community in the St. Louis region. They have a direct impact on the experiences that kids and parents have while playing youth sports.

Coach It Right! is a series of free clinics for volunteer youth coaches and parents. These clinics emphasize sportsmanship and teach valuable skills and concepts that help them provide a positive, educational and fun experience for youth athletes. By providing these clinics for local coaches, we aim to equip them with the tools they need to succeed as a coach and for their players to grow as both athletes and individuals.

Each spring (typically in March), we hold a baseball clinic at St. Louis University High School, presented by one of St. Louis’ most prolific high school baseball coaches – Steve Nicollerat. The clinic is conducted for volunteer youth baseball and softball coaches, and provides a great introduction for knowing how and what to teach.

Given the popularity of soccer in the St. Louis area, we also hold a series of clinics for coaches who volunteer for the thousands of youth soccer players across the region. Every coach who completes the clinic will receive the Youth Coaching Certificate (formerly called the “F License”) free of charge.  Clinics are available in various locations throughout the St. Louis area and they are held at the end of the summer to lead into the upcoming fall season.
