The St. Louis Sports Foundation is part of a network of organizations that strive to increase awareness of not only the importance of sportsmanship, but of sports in general, and the impact they can have on a community.
St. Louis Sports Commission
The St. Louis Sports Commission is the independent, privately-funded nonprofit organization that makes St. Louis a better place to live, visit, work and play through sports. Its efforts focus on attracting, creating and managing major sporting events for the metro area. The organization uses the power of sports to enhance the area’s quality of life and to create economic and social benefit for the community.
Musial Awards
Named for baseball hall-of-famer Stan Musial, the Musial Awards honor the year’s greatest moments of sportsmanship and the biggest names in sports who embody class and character, selflessness, integrity and civility in sports and society. In addition to keeping alive the legacy of Stan The Man, the awards are meant to inspire people across the country to be good sports.
National Sportsmanship Foundation
With the goal of changing the way society views and values, the St. Louis Sports Commission launched the non-profit National Sportsmanship Foundation. The Foundation aims to empower people to lead healthier, happier lives through the values of sportsmanship.
