EVENT KNOWN AS “ST. LOUIS’ HEALTHIEST HAPPY HOUR” WILL TAKE PLACE AT ST. LOUIS CITY SC’S CITYPARK FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR
ST. LOUIS – February 1, 2024 – The Biz Dash 5K presented by World Wide Technology will bring thousands from the region’s business community together downtown for the ninth year in a row as “St. Louis’ Healthiest Happy Hour” is set for Thursday, May 9 from 5 to 9 p.m. at St. Louis CITY SC’s CITYPARK. The Biz Dash annually promotes a healthy, active lifestyle and building team camaraderie with co-workers and friends in a fun atmosphere featuring music, food, drinks, entertainment, and a 5K run/walk.
“We’re very grateful for the enthusiasm that surrounds the Biz Dash, and to bring the event back to CITYPARK is a no-brainer as we look to be a catalyst for companies from around the region to invest in the health and wellness of their employees,” said Sports Commission President Marc Schreiber. “The vision for this event has always been to create a lively atmosphere in Downtown St. Louis, where we believe an event that promotes healthy lifestyles, team camaraderie, community pride, and the strength of our region’s residents and businesses belongs.”
Registration opens on Wednesday, February 14 with a registration price of $45 per participant from now until April 16 and $50 from April 17 through May 1 when registration will close. The registration fee includes a soft style Biz Dash t-shirt, complimentary post-race beverage, race bib, timing chip, and Biz Dash koozie. Companies from across the St. Louis region register teams made up of their employees, all converging on Lou Fusz Plaza at CITYPARK for an event that combines health and fitness with an energetic happy-hour vibe.

Runners and walkers of all levels are encouraged to participate on their company team. Companies may register an unlimited number of employees. Each participating company will have the opportunity to customize its preferred payment method including absorbing employee registration costs, covering a percentage of each registration, or having employees pay their own entry fee. If your organization is not participating, you can register as an individual on the St. Louis Sports Foundation team and enjoy this one-of-a-kind event.
World Wide Technology is in its seventh year as the presenting sponsor of the Biz Dash. “The Biz Dash continues to be a natural fit with our culture to give back to the communities where we live, work, and play, and have an environment for our employees to lead active and healthy lives in and out of the workplace,” said World Wide Technology CFO Tom Strunk. “To be able to get our team together, reconnect with friends from the business community, and support an event like this in Downtown St. Louis, it’s a win-win for everyone involved.”
Now in its ninth year, the Biz Dash had more than 7,000 race registrants representing 224 companies and organizations from across the region in 2023. The 5K course is planned to travel through the heart of Downtown St. Louis, starting at Lou Fusz Plaza at CITYPARK, passing by Union Station, Stifel Theatre, Citygarden, Busch Stadium, Kiener Plaza, and with great views of the Gateway Arch.
