Tim Ryan

Tim Ryan is the director of operations for the Sports Commission. Tim manages event operations for the Sports Commission’s owned and acquired events.  As a liaison to city departments, Tim handles facets related to event planning such as permitting, parking, security, and special requests.  He also organizes the activities of the Sports Commission’s young professionals’ group, the Associates.  Tim has been with the Sports Commission since 2010.

Prior to joining the Sports Commission, Tim spent four years as the sports director of KTJJ-FM and KREI-AM Radio in Farmington, Mo., where he broadcasted sports, news and weather.  The highlights of his radio career include play-by-play of three state high school championships and a minor league baseball team, and covering the 2005 Final Four in St. Louis.

Tim received a Bachelor’s of Journalism from University of Missouri in 2004, and a Master’s of Science in Sport Management from Missouri Baptist University in 2010. Tim is an enthusiastic sports fan, following baseball, hockey, and college sports.  Tim is a St. Louis native, and lives in Webster Groves, Mo. with his wife Missy and daughter Sammy.
