Director of Marketing & Communications
Brent Shulman is the director of marketing & communications for the St. Louis Sports Commission, the privately funded nonprofit organization that makes St. Louis a better place to live, visit, work and play through sports. He is responsible for organizing and directing the Sports Commission’s event marketing, public relations, communications, and new media efforts. Brent oversees the organization’s website and promotes the Sports Commission’s affiliated Sports Foundation and Sportsmanship Programs. Brent also manages and implements the day-to-day technology needs for the staff. He has been with the Sports Commission since 2008.
Prior to joining the Sports Commission, Brent completed four internships during his collegiate career. Those experiences included the sports department at KMOX Radio (1120 AM) in St. Louis, a marketing and communications internship with the St. Louis Sports Commission and two internships with the Big Ten Network – one in game day production and the other covering the Indiana Hoosiers for BigTenNetwork.com.
Brent is a 2008 graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., where he majored in Sport Communication – Broadcast. He is avid fan of his hometown St. Louis teams and the Indiana Hoosiers. Brent is a St. Louis native and lives in Chesterfield, Mo.
